Fallound is expanding its family starting today! We started out on iOS and heard all the feedback from each and everyone who tried out our platform. Today we are happy to announce our expansion to Android. We love Android just as much as iOS, and still strive to fill in every time slot of your day with interesting content.
We aim to go bigger, better and stronger 💪🏻. To show our love and gratitude to our growing family, we are opening our cutting edge algorithms and our newest features to Android users. People who subscribed to our alpha version mailing list, watch your emails (you can still subscribe here if you haven’t yet) – you will soon receive invites to test out our first public alpha build.
Let’s talk Android, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Since this is a pre-release, some features might be unusable (expected) but we are committing to weekly updates to enhance your experience one feature at a time.
The Good 😄👍🏼
We love good news so we are kicking off with that. So what exactly is the good news? FALLOUND IS NOW AVAILABLE ON ANDROID! (well sort of). We packed all kinds of surprises so Android users can enjoy their experience with us.
1: We revamped our main screen
iOS users were presented with time allocated playlists for convenience on the road. Here’s the news for Android users: playlists aren’t restricted to your time. While we’re adding timed playlists to make commuters’ lives easier, for now, you can discover podcasts according to non-timed playlists – our curators spend hours researching the best podcasts around the web, then our algorithm personalizes the ones that suit your interests: here’s an example showcasing the 7 Best Science Podcasts you can find around the web.
2: Do you know what they call people with big hands? Android users!
We love bigger screen sizes but they can be irritating for people with smaller hands. Our UI will take gestures more seriously and would adapt along the way.
3: Sexier and more functional playlists
Our design has matured and we want our UI to reflect that. This is not only a better looking screen (we’re modest I promise) but a more functional one as well.
Users can now choose to:
1- Play the playlist we curated for them
2- Choose specific episodes from the curated providers
4: How to stop us from tracking your history? You can’t!
What you listen to along the way is important! That’s why you can now look back and read about a podcast you might have liked, or even listen to it again. We also use this data to personalize your listening experience even more.
We have many more improvements all around and they might be even too many to list. (We don’t want to spoil the fun)
The Bad ☹️👎🏻
Yes, when there is good, there is bad. Something to keep in mind is that our first release is actually a prerelease. We want you to enjoy Fallound – and send us your feedback on [email protected] – as soon as possible, maybe too soon some would say. So using Fallound on Android has to be faced with some expectations.
What to expect?
Bugs, Bugs, BUGS!

Some features might be broken, some times the app might seem slower than usual, and some times the app might just crash! Bear with us and report what you find. We are listening, fixing and deploying new versions as you were reading this.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
